randall ellis
Many, many people have done self portraits, but no one that I know of has made a large body of work in self portraiture. Search the photo sites and I'm sure that you will find thousands of different ideas. Be creative, there are a million ways to accomplish this task. - Randy
joseph_wisniewski
I've always enjoyed the self portraits of Marlo Broekmans. There was another photographer, whose name escapes me, that placed models and civilians (all nude) in front of the view camera, let them pose themselves and fire the shutter. Had a book out on it. Can't remember the name...
twmeyer
well there's Cindy Sherman, but they aren't "self portraits" in the usual sense, although they do provide an insight of some sort into her personal philosophies, as do all works of art. Avedon did a lot. There's that German guy that built all those rickety structures that he posed naked in...
Photo.net is full of self portraits. Not necessarily good ones. Why do you ask?... t
Damon DAmato
There is an amazing self portrait artist named evaxebra, who started a one self portrait a day thing a couple of years ago, and has done more than 600 since. bernie moore
OK! I'm missing something here. Self portrait...is that not taking a picture of your self? Someone makes a living at taking portraits of him/herself? And someone has done 600 of himself? What an I missing?
