Any scanner for 6x17 negatives

Hi, need your help.

 

 

I have many panorama 6x14 and 6x17 negatives. What scanner I should use to get a direct scan without stitching,

my Epson 3170 some time work but most of the times not work. Thanks for your help.

I scan my 617 negs in one pass with an Epson 4990 flatbed scanner along with the Better Scanning film holders. I find the quality is

sufficient for prints up to about a 2x-3x enlargement.

The Microtek M1 does a good job. Better more detail i nthe shadows, less noise, far better film flatness is the Epson V750M pro when you fluid mount.

You could get a V700 and a holder from betterscanning.com along with the ANR glass.

 

Alternatively, go with the standard holders, and get some anti-reflective glass cut that will fit in the film channels of the standard holders. Laying the glass on top of the negatives will ensure film flatness.

Hey Ellis, I've also wet mounted with my 4990. Will the v750 give me noticeably sharper scans over the 4990?
