cyr_smith
Ok, I want to know what the little notch on the shutter speed dial is for. I've looked everywhere and can't come up with an answer. Anybody have the answer?<div></div>
leicaglow
It's where the MR meter slides in so you have shutter speed control from the meter dial.

will_wright1
doesn't anyone look at the instruction book anymore?
vincent_peri
"doesn't anyone look at the instruction book anymore?" Sometimes, if you buy used equipment, you don't get an instruction manual. I bought a Nikon F2A, and it took me about six months to find a manual in decent condition at a reasonable price.
jenny_jaques
Will Wright asks: "doesn't anyone look at the instruction book anymore?" Will, very few used cameras come with "instruction books". That's one of the reasons we are here, to ask eachother, isn't it?
john fleshin
Some Leica M's have a couple of visual notches in the top and bottom edge of the visual RF window to indicade dof at f 16 and I think f 5.6? It took a couple of readings of the book to get it straight. M2? There are a few things easier to explain. When I saw the results of the scuffing from the Light Meters, I kind of gave up on them.
