riz
Hi,

Would be grateful if someone could help me in this. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2 v9.0.2. As per Adobe I have to use Adobe DNG Converter 3.7. I installed the same in put in my Adobe folder. When I try to convert the NEF file I get message that there is an error in parsing. The installation folder also contains the CameraRAW.8BI file that I dont know where to put in or how to use. I believe its some update file.

I am sure I am missing a point here.

Thank you in anticipation.

Riz

bgelfand
What camera are you using?

Camera RAW.8BI is the Adobe Camera RAW program for Photoshop.

bgelfand
A D60 is not supported in DNG 3.7 . Here is a link to the DNG 3.7 Readme file listing supported cameras:

http://www.adobe.com/special/photoshop/camera_raw/DNG_3.7_Converter_ReadMe.pdf

However all is not lost. Download the latest DNG converter:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4803&promoid=DTEHR

Read the Readme file:
http://www.adobe.com/special/photoshop/camera_raw/DNG_6.2_Converter_ReadMe.pdf

Pay paticular attention to the "Release Notes" section and choose the Camera RAW 2.4 opton.

Hope this helps.

If your version of CS2 is up to date, you do not need to move the camera RAW.8bi file anywhere. If it is not, search for camera RAW.8bi, save the old version to a safe location, and move the new version to the old location. Do that only for the version that came with DNG 3.7. Do NOT use the version, if any, that comes with DNG 6.2; that one will NOT work with CS2 and may cause CS2 to fail.
