Andy,

 

Not being an expert on these binoculars some things to note: Many are 10X25. the first number (10) is magification, the second (25) is the relative amount of light coming through. Such a binocular is not really letting in enough light for the magnification. If I were to be looking into these camera/binoculars I would look more at the 8X30-35's. Yes it is less magnification, but IMHO the payback in light is going to be more helpful.

10x25 isn't bad in good light. I have several pairs of lightweight binoculars with similar specs and they are just fine in the daytime.

 

I think the problem with most (if not all) the binocular/camera combinations is that neither the binocular part nor the camera part is very good.
