kevin_swan1
I always get a kick out of seeing how other photographers organize their camera bags, and I've never really been satisfied with my own configuration. Here's a picture of my own camera bag, and a <a href=" to a Flickr image</a> with notes highlighting each item (I hope linking to Flickr is OK - if not, please delete with my apologies). <P>Anyone else willing to post the contents of their own camera bag?<div></div>

georg_s1
For newspaper work i carry a Nikon D200 with the 17-55/2.8 attached, a 70-20 AF-S VR, the 10.5 Fisheye, a Sigma 10-20, two SB-800, a SU-800, a 50/1.4 or a Sigma 30/1.4 and a Ricoh GX-100 in a Billingham 550 (add some batteries, tabletop- tripods, cables, filters and a lot of other stuff to get an idea of my masochistic nature). I also use Tenba-bags from time to time but the Billingham is the best bag i have ever used. A couple of Metz-handlemount-flashes with Pocket-Wizards and other lighting tools is in a second bag in my car. Sometimes i carry only a Nikon with tele and the Ricoh GX-100 or a Nikon 8400. Cheers, georgs.

User_502260
I just went to Cape May for a few days. I had intended to shoot mostly with a Canon F-1. The problem was that I had Fuji NPZ in one of my F-1 bodies and I didn't have time to get my other F-1 out. I put a black Nikkormat FT2 in a separate napsack with a 28/3.5 AI, a 50/1.4 S (pointy prong) and a 135/2.8 'K' lens. The idea was that I would use the Nikkormat at the beach. What was in the regular camera bag? A Canon F-1 with the standard prism finder and LD focsing screen. Lenses were a 28/2 FD SSC, 35/2 FD SSC (first version), 50/1.8 FD SSC, 135/2.8 Vivitar Close Focusing and 200/2.8 New FD (1st version). I forgot to take a 2X. I also had a Vivitar 252 flash and a Flash Coupler L. I wound up shooting four rolls of print film and one roll of EBX. If I had been thinking more quickly I would have taken an extra Canon body instead of the Nikkormat and the three Nikkors but I had fun using both systems and on Monday I will get three rolls of the print film back. the EBX will come back from Dwayne's in the usual time. In three days in the Cape May area I think I only saw one other person using a film camera.
User_502260
Now I remember that I also had a 50/3.5 New FD in the bag. Carrying all of this up to the top of the light house really gave me a workout. I counted all 199 steps on the way down.
lex_jenkins
With the D2H: Midrange zoom attached to the camera. 50/1.8 Pocket lint. Another small prime, varies depending on what I anticipate. Sometimes a 55/3.5 macro. If the midrange zoom is the slowpoke 18-70, I might pack something to compensate for the speed, either a 24/2.5 Tamron or 85/2 AI-S. Or the Spiratone Portragon. SB-800 with pop-on diffuser dome. I don't usually tote the entire pouch with filters, etc. Spare EN-EL4, AA's, CF card, caps, pens, cleaning cloth, etc. No tea. Protective filters for photographing small kids, pets, in adverse weather (lotta gritty wind blowing in Texas, as well as sap dripping from trees). Easier to clean a filter than the lens. Those laminated cheat sheets for the D2H and SB-800. Ibuprofen, Benadryl, eye drops, Atomic Fireballs and Lemonheads. A dozen small prints of typical stuff I shoot to disabuse the officious of the notion that I am a terrorist or pervert. A random cognitive dissonance generator to confirm their suspicions that I might still be a bit off.

Andy Collins
In my main bag yesterday was a Canon 1vHS with 70-200 f/2.8IS, a 10D with 17-40 f/4L, a PowerShot A720IS for digital grab-shots, a 550EX flash, and a couple of older rangefinders--a Fujica Compact Deluxe and a Minolta AL. In my 2nd bag are two Nikon FEs, one with an MD-12 motordrive and a Nikkor 35-135 f/3.5-4.5 and the other with a Nikkor 50 f/1.8. In my 3rd, small 'vintage' bag are a Kodak Retina Reflex III with a Schneider-Kreuznach Retina Xenon 50mm f/1.9 and an Agfaflex IV with an f/4 135mm Agfa Color Telinear, plus a Voigtlander Vito II. Bag #1 is a Tamrac Pro12, bag #2 is, ironically, a Canon bag (no wonder there's static electricity in it!), and bag #3 is a very old cowhide camera bag that I got with the Kodak Retina Reflex some time ago. chad_mitchell2
I must say I am surprised by the relatively high number of people who have responded with film cameras. I walk around with a Domke 801 and will typically carry a combination of: 1. Canon EOS 3: 17-40L, 85/1.8 (Rarely the 24-105 or a Sigma 70-300) 2. Canon A710 3. Nikon FM2: 24/2; 50/1.8; 105/2.5 4. Yashica P&S 24-70. One day I'll surely add a DSLR body to the mix. Cheers
