ordering at KEH from europe?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here experience with ordering at KEH from europe? More

specific from Belgium? I'm most interested in experience with customs...

It looks interesting but if they add 33% duty to second hand gear (what

they should not do, but try to stop them) it isn't really very interesting.

if the item price is below the tax free limit in your country, surely it can't be up to the custom officer on duty if you need to pay tax on it or not? and if he/she (wrongly) taxes you for it, aren't you able to get a refund? assuming all papers speak in your favour.

having said that, i can only speak highly of keh. grading system, prices, and when something goes wrong they have proved extremely willing to make right again.

I had a lens shipped to the UK by KEH. It was faulty, and KEH replaced it. No

problem. Except that I had to pay for import duty twice, because from customs' point

of view, I had received two lenses. Grrr.
