jesse_whittle_utter
Hello, I am a young, smart, enthusiastic and talented burgeoning professional digital photographer available for assistantship/apprenticeship in or around South Bristol, Maine from June 10 - August 25th. I have had a keen interest in photography for 10 years now, and in the last year have I made the decision to bring my skills up to a professional level. I am largely self-taught, with working knowledge of both traditional film and digital capture and development techniques. I shoot with a Nikon D200 and edit with Adobe CS3, on a 2.4GhZ MacBook Pro. Over the years I have developed a substantial body of personal work, which to date has been included in two international exhibits. I am interested in learning hands-on from an established professional photographer, or an artist working with digitally captured images. In particular, I am looking to develop my skills in the areas of studio lighting, digital editing (basic principles and Photoshop skills), diverse camera formats, technical knowledge (of equipment such as lenses, polarizers, filters), and a general knowledge of how a professional studio works. Portraiture, event/wedding, advertising, nature and fine art photography are all relevant, though I have stronger leanings toward fine art and nature photography. In exchange for an opportunity to strengthen these skills, I will provide dedicated and reliable assistance with any aspect of operating your studio that you deem necessary. I don't mind grunt work, as long as it's balanced with some hands-on opportunities to learn. My availability will be part-time and my hours are flexible. Compensation is negotiable; if it's the right fit, I am happy to work for free. I am happy to provide a resume, examples of my work, and references upon request. I look forward to hearing from you, Jesse pogonip5@gmail.com
