darkprints
Is there a definitive consensus on the minimum amount of HC110 syrup needed per roll - 3 ml. or 6 ml.? By roll, I mean 80 sq. in., or 135-36, or 120. And does anyone have first hand experience finding that 3 ml. is not enough? I can't recall why the recommended amount changed from 3 to 6 ml. hector_obregon
http://www.apug.org/forums/forum37/48174-hc110-simplified.html Here is a great thread that discusses HC-110. Of course amount would vary according to total I use 7.5/232.5 = 240 (8 oz.) with good results.
oistrakh
The smallest amount of concentrate that Kodak lists on their HC-110 tech publication is 9mL (for dilution B to make 300mL of liquid), so that would imply that they believe you need at least 9mL. I don't personally use HC-100, so I can't speak from personal experience. Probably the only way for you to be sure is for you to shoot test rolls and try it. http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professional/support/techPubs/j24/j24.jhtml?id=0.2.24.14.18.14.7.22.14&lc=en Chris
evan_goulet
Covington Innovations recommends a minimum of 6 mL per 135-36 roll. I have personally used 4.5 mL on a 135-36 roll at dilution H and it turned out OK.
bobmichaels
Like Evan, I have 4.5 ml consistently for years with dil H. Sorry, I don't know about 3 ml.
kelly_flanigan1
If there is not enough developer then the devoloper will tend to poop out during the development; some folks actually experiment with this.
darkprints
Dilution H (1:63) calls for 4 ml. per 8 oz. (250 ml.) Covington had originally stated 3 ml. per roll, then without explanation changed it to 6 ml. I'm wondering if there was a reason for the change. ron_miller5
I use 9.5ml for 1 roll but in 600ml solution (Dilution H) for "1" roll in a 2 roll tank. Solves the solution poop out problem.
