hagar
Umm, and Rose.. it's a pinky purple, and it's beautiful. Even when viewed on a hotel room monitor :-) lol.

garry_young1
Thanks Mis. Yeah, that horrible old lens is now taking up at least 70% of my viewfinder time! I get what you mean about the "too centeredness" of the center of the flower. I blame the wind again! Ha ha. I have made some great 8x12 prints of bugs and things shot with this new lens, and they look great. Am I selling? Well, let me answer this way: Where? How? To whom? How much? Lol! I wouldn't mind, but am enjoying myself too much to have thought about that, but now I am thinking! Hmmm. *Dave, love the light in that peony shot. *Haig, great bokeh on Cruella! *Rose, I think it is "pirple".
rose_duclos
Dave, the Peony shot is awesome. :) I'm really enjoying this topic. With spring here, especially, there seems to be a wealth of blooms out there that I've never seen before.
hinman
Very pretty flower shots, everyone. Here is one mosaic that I did a while back with DA 50-200 and K100D, probably when I was nuts about my K100D in the beginning month

hinman
apololgy, should have used something smaller not to reveal the mosaic clipping in resizing

shots worth sharing
Thanks, Rose! It was a quick shot before leaving for work. I didn't even notice the dew until I opened it up on the computer--one of those little gifts from the gods of photography. I got another of a dew-spangled tulip, too. mcmanamey
Hin - I'm really glad you posted your mosaic big - the grass w/ the hills in the background on the bottom R looks REALLY good. I like much. The small mosaic doesn't show it off near as well. Garry - smugmug

mcmanamey
The girls don't let us pick up cameras anymore w/o putting them in front at some point. My gma's front yard is a good backdrop though. I'm starting think I need to beg her to let me make the house & acres our studio space.

miserere_mei
A different take on trees (with a little sunset thrown in for good measure). Dan, if you're out there, this is the reason I was late to meet you.

Reflections on a Sunset

abe_hollander
Is that a good ol' Jensen coax 7 and a quarter inch on that backdash? Classic! What's this about trees and sun?
miserere_mei
Abe, this was my rental car, so I have no idea what speakers it had. Thanks Dave! This was taken in Greenbelt, so I know you guys get nice sunsets every now and again :-)
