Pansies are always making faces! They are beautiful Abe. Matthew I love the deep down look into the tulips..They are such a pretty red. I can offer you the 'twins' for some color.. and the cactus flowers that are starting to bloom..

Ok. I have to join in here. I have some flower action going on. All of these shots were taken with my home adjusted macro lens, and that means that the pictures represent 11 millimeters across.

<P>

First is a butterfly drinking. Unfortunately the butterfly is slightly in front of my focal point:

Now a ladybird hiding between tiny blossoms:

And thirdly, a view deep down into a beautiful tiny little blossom:

Here are 2 more. I am stepping away from the macro aspect here. The first is a shot of a flower near a sprinkler. I like the drop about to drip:

The next is of the sprinkler in question, with flowers in the background:

Haig, that flower is from my first attempt at using my then-new macro set-up (Vivitar 2x macro TC + FA 50mm f/1.4) and was taken in the parking lot of my hotel on my way back from work. I took ~20 pics and just lost patience :-) I need more practice.

Garry, that broken lens has turned out to be a blessing in disguise, huh? The butterfly drinking has its focus on the tongue, so it's all good I think.

Andrew, I think it's the only usable shot out of the ~20 I took :-)

Garry, now that I've seen your pics again (from work, on a better monitor), I have to say I love Tiny but Deep...but I do wish the centre of the flower had been further to the left, past the middle of the frame. Am I being too picky!? LOL! I love everything else about it; those veins in the top-right corner are simply wonderful. A 12x18 print would be gorgeous; are you selling? ;-)

A friend of mine dubbed this one Cruella De Vil.. I must say I agree.. it is a paper daisy found in the botanic gardens at Mt Annan near Sydney.

This last shot was taken with the 50-200 Pentax lens. I have some great photos with it.
