sabina_d.
Hello, I am currently migrating to the digital world from film and realizing I need tofigure out how to store my digital images in an organized manner now before itgets out of control. I did search the old threads, but some were so old I wasn'tsure if they were still good in terms of new software. What I need is something that will allow me to organize my photos and tag themso I can easily find them by keywords later, regardless of when they were shotand for what event. I already use photoshop for editing. I'm purchasing soon anew Macbook Pro, and already work with apple computers, so it needs to be a maccompatible. I'm expecting to have a lot of images within the year because of work. Any suggestions? Thanks!
godfrey
I use Lightroom. It integrates and manages the workflow, allows you to manage work, does a lot of the fundamental editing, sorting, grading, tagging, etc required, and you can move back and forth between it and Photoshop seamlessly. scott_burns3
I've tried Lightroom and Aperture, but for now have gone back to iView Media Pro (actually now called Microsoft Expression Media). I felt too locked in with the all-in-ones. I prefer being able to use any raw converter I want (and I have a lot of 'em). I also like being able to catalog pretty much any file-type on my disks - not just images.
