mrstubbs
They made me smile. But then I always enjoy images which make me think of the subject rather than the photography.
richsimmons
I found the amputee to be the most profound. It just said so much. Very striking.
johan_de_groote
Difficult. While they make me smile the subjects don't come over as very happy people and that makes me feel uneasy.
lex_jenkins
Very clever. The photographer has managed to persuade people that an indifferently posed, composed and exposed snapshot is art. I don't see anything remarkable about these. But if her gallery will represent me, sign me up.
art_haykin
There is no accounting for taste, said the tourist when he saw an Arab kiss his camel.
bobatkins
I think I wouldn't buy the book. Arbus did it better.
KenPapai
Being horrified by everyday events or people is not something I want to see. I cannot understand this photography but like was quoted, ain't no accounting for taste.
alex_lofquist
No nudes is good nudes.
GerrySiegel
My response to this kind of subject, Christine, is "Ahh...Interesting." Period. I think I stick to the unclothed bodies visualized by this photonet member(and some others),if you please. I am pretty old fashioned conventional about the way I like to see our bony frames fleshed. And too old to change that particular squint on it,I admit. gs: http://www.photo.net/photos/johnperi
john_elder1
Best nudes I have seen today. Kind of reminds me of Arbus but without the skill.
summitar
butt ugly!
lex_jenkins
Nah, not ugly. Just ... nothing. No apparent artistic statement or interpretation. Or maybe that *is* the artistic statement. That there's no statement to be made. This portfolio has some amazing photos of voluptuous women: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=782505 Bauer's work may not be to everyone's taste but there's definitely artistry at work. ._._z
Reminds me of Arbus without the Arbus.
petemillis
interesting - looking at them made me feel better about myself!
geoff_foale
Different; not for me but I suppose they have as much right to be photographed as anybody else. And they are obviously good value.
