paul_ingram
Have CS3 and accompanying Bridge. Opening a newly loaded album from my 40D and it seems my memory get overloaded as the images load, at least that is the error message. Then the images won't come into clear view. I have 3gB of Ram and plenty of space on my HD (I load the image files onto external hard drives.) Windows Explorer often views images more efficiently than Bridge although obviously with few features. Sometimes this Bridge overload causes the PC to lock up. KenPapai
Bridge CS2 and CS3 slows down a lot, gets sluggish if you have many large images in one folder. By "many" I mean more than 200. By "large" I mean mostly Raw images, 6MP or larger. My CS3 PC's CPU is four years old, 2GB RAM, lots of GB hard disks, and I notice sluggish Bridge when I approach or surpass 200 images per/folder. jerryrock
You can adjust Bridge settings for quick thumbnails, high quality thumbnails or convert to high quality thumbnails when previewed. You can also increase Bridge cache size and compact the cache to increase performance. Adjusting these settings should speed up your workflow.
