Inline impossible despite tiny file

I have submitted images successfully before but now even 20kb files with the longest side 320 pixels still

appear as imagename.jpg instead of an image inline. I am using a Leica C Lux 2 and Macintosh iPhoto and

exporting the image as a low quality small JPEG. Medium leaves one side 640 pixels and even if this is the

height of the image it still won't appear if I submit. I have tried message confirm and confirm/upload (it is

not clear which of these one should use if one wants an image inline) What am I doing wrong? Are there

any instructions anywhere?

Do you put a caption in the caption line when uploading your image? <P>

 

The instructions say <I>"(Required if the file is an image)</I>," Otherwise the image will appear as a link.<P>

 

You also need to click "Confirm/Upload"
