mattlaudergallery
I am currently considering getting the new Canon XH-A1 HD Video camera andprocessing the video with Final Cut Studio and I was wondering if my Mac BookPro 17" with 4gig RAM and the 2.5Ghz Core 2 Duo is powerful enough to processand render the video. I am looking at doing small promotional videos. 5 to 20 minutes in time. Thanks for any assistance or light on the subject. Matt
matt.bigwood
My guess would be yes... I use a Sony FX1 HDV camcorder and edit on a Dell desktop PC with Core Duo 2.4 processor, XP and 3 Gb Ram - editing on Adobe Premiere, and it works perfectly. Rendering times are perfectly acceptable, and the set-up is very fast when editing SD footage. Hope this helps!
