cabbiinc
Well I dont know if they had this around Andy Warhol's time but capillary film would give good results. Here's a link to more than you ever wanted to know about screenprinting. http://www.sgia.org/pdf_server.cfm?pdf=/sptf/pdf/optimize.pdf They quit calling it silkscreening when they switched to polyesther meshes. sam_ellis
I'm pretty sure it's just a fine mesh to get finer detail. I did quite a bit of screen printing in high school and college.
cabbiinc
I was a screenprinter for over 4 years. I burned the screens for the printers to print with. A fine mesh probably wasnt around during Warhol's time. With a Capillex on the mesh the mesh count is less an issue of detail, but more an issue of wether it can hold onto the Cap. I didnt do it in school. I did it for real. Dan
