If you want a critique perhaps the critique forum would be a good place to start. Then again, nobody really critiques in the critique forum anyway, so good luck. For me I don't like the window in the front, and the blurry guy doesn't tell us anything. You can find the iron work going on there, but it's not specific enough to tell much of a story. This is my opinion, of course.

In North America "Iron Workers" is commonly used to describe the job of erecting steel framed building: bolting and welding, lots of working at heights. Your example an nice alternative, and closer to the literal definition, I think.

What does the phrase "correct photographic principles" mean to you?

 

I think this is a very worthy project. Take a close look at the photos of Sebastio Salgado, James Nactwey, Antonin Kratochil, Jodi Cobb, and Lauren Greenfield work t osee hopw they handle the formalaspects -o fthis type of photography. By "formal aspects" I mean: use of light, composition, framing, exposure.
