smw-jmw
I am trying to help out a friend of mine with some info about this Nikkor-P 10.5cm F2.5 Rangefinder lens. Are these lenses sought after? I have seen some very high prices being asked for RF lenses, but know very little about them other than what I have read on the web. This lens is in superb condition and has the original lens hood, lens cap and case.<div></div>
smw-jmw
Heres another shot of the same lens...smaller theis time!<div></div>
michaelging
They sell for between $300 and $500 depending on condition and what comes with it, such as Lens hood, front and rear lens caps and case. Just looking at the lens from you photos , I would think the higher range.

smw-jmw
Thank you Micheal, that is very helpful! It seems that even the lens cap and lens hood comand good prices on thier own from what I have seen! Regards Steve
kelly_flanigan1
Your lens looks like one for a Nikon rangefinder. The lens was made in LTM, Exakta and Leica Thread Mount versions.

kelly_flanigan1
An interesting note; my LTM Nikkor 10.5cm F2.5 focuses in the opposite direction than Steve's. Look at the 4 and 5 foot positions! Thus Steves probably is the nikon rangefinder version.
pensacolaphoto
I have this lens in Leica LTM and also in Nikon mount. Both lenses are superb and super sharp. They are my Nr.1 portrait lenses, and I also own lenses like the 90mm Summicron and Elmarit and 85mm Nikkor and Canon 85mm/1.2L.
kelly_flanigan1
Raid; do you have the Nikkor in Nikon rangefinder mount?; I wonder because Steves lens has the helix thats opposite mine; ie the lens rotates the opposite way than my LTM 10.5cm Nikkor. smw-jmw
Just to let you know - the lens in the photos has the external nikon mount ( bayonet - not threaded).
kelly_flanigan1
Steve; thanks for the confirmation that yours is the Nikon rangefinder version. The LTM version of mine has a tripod socket; does yours?. The red dot on yours; and the reversed Infrared mark at first had me thinking.
pensacolaphoto
Kelly, No. My Nikon lenses are in SLR Nikon mount and in Leica LTM.
smw-jmw
Hi Raid, no, there is no tripod socket on this lens. The lens does not belong to me, it belongs to a friend who is going to sell it, but it was left to her by a relative, she knew nothing about it, so I was just trying to supply her with some information before she advertises it. Many thanks for all the help. Regards Steve
kelly_flanigan1
Steve if the lens goes on ebay for sale you may want to show an image of the lens's rear; ie so folks dont assume its a LTM version.
smw-jmw
Hi Kelly....I have got that covered ...here is a shot just for refernce. Thanks for thinking of that though. Regards Steve<div></div>
furcafe
You might also want to note that there is no 'C' (capital C in single quotes) marked in white on the barrel, so that it isn't 1 of the lenses that Nikon made for the Contax RF mount.

leess
The picture of the lens cap is from the F mount 10.5cm f2.5 lens, not the RF version.
