Rob_the_waste
Minh, that's fantastic. Funny thing, I just looked up at an old Polaroid sitting on my bookshelf, and it's also an 800. Maybe there's hope after all.
Rob_the_waste
Ok, now you've done it. You've got my curiosity up and running. I've never tried anything large format, but you've gotten fantastic results from your re engineering old folders. How would I go about converting this "800" to the 4x5 as you have expertly done? patrick j dempsey
Rob, we are all eagerly awaiting Minh's photographic results as well as a full description of the conversion! Before Polaroid announced discontinuing all films this year, I really wanted to do this conversion and shoot Polaroid 4x5's with it!
minhnguyen9113
Rob and Patrick I'll finish the final by sealing all the joints to stop light leaks and the camera will be tested soon. I made a ground glass holder by a film holder to set the infinitive and close focus at 3 1/2 ft. I'm sure the lens will cover the format. We'll see the results
craig_supplee
You do know what's going to happen now don't you Minh? You're going to blow the lid off the cheap Polaroids out there. I'm already noticing a marked upswing in the price on these beasts. Everybody better get out there and buy Polaroid stock. Wait, they quit making those didn't they. D--n it. I'm always a day late. Looking forward to some pics from that beauty!
