outage has disconnected BlackBerry smart phones across North America.</p><p>AT&T

Inc. says the disruption Monday is affecting all wireless carriers. AT&T first

learned about the problem at about 3:30 p.m. ET.</p><p>There's no word on the

cause or when the problem might be fixed.</p><p>BlackBerry maker Research in

Motion did not immediately return a phone call.</p><p>

I'm sorry but that last line got me. I guess it would be like emailing someone

about their email being down.

Well, my blackberry has received over 35,000 emails in the last 8 hours. No, that's not a typo. Some spammers are using one of my domains and I'm getting all the bounce messages, both on my mail server and on my blackberry, which is phone-based.

Sorry to hear that Chris. The same thing happened to me a few years ago. My ISP shut down my email accounts and then one of their tech support people told me over the phone I had to email them to get it resolved! I eventually got it worked out but that's another story.
