Canon i9900 power supply - buy where?

Recommended Posts

According to Canon US A web site the i9900 comes with a power cord and operates on 120v 60Hz power, therefore the power supply is an intergal part of the printer. The repair shop should be able to give you an estimate on the cost of repair. IF the i9900 uses a wall wart type power supply then the power requirements and polarity of the plug at the printer end should be stated on the housing of the wart. Any brand with the same power rating and plug at the printer end will work. Try a printer repair shop near you or check Canon's web site for a factory authorized repair facality nearest you. www.canon.com and select your geographic reagon.

Thanks Charles. I'm not much of an electrical guy. The Power supply is stamped "AC" adaptor and a push of a button disengages the power unit that is about 8 or 9 inches long and it pops right off. Thats why I wondered if one could buy the component and just replace it. I better call Canon unless I can find just a replacement part. Thanks

There's a power supply at http://www.beckscrs.com/partlist.php for $61.20, part #QK1-0311-000 or at http://www.vancebaldwin.com/products/?CAN&start=1601 for $60.70 . The original power supply shows part number Canon K30212 on it. If replacing the power supply/adapter doesn't resolve the problem of the Canon i9900 not powering on at all, the part number for the logic board is QM2-1273-000 from Beckscrs.com for $225. (Ouch)
