ed dertinger
Fairly new to photo.net so I have been moving about the site to learn how everything works. Clicked on the link that takes one to "members on line" and then clicked on my own name. From there I clicked on "photos rated highest by this member". Of the eight photos shown I had actually rated only the first 4 shown - I never placed a rating on the other 4 photos. Just thought I would report this - maybe some sort of glitch in the system that ascribed ratings given to the wrong rater? Thanks Ed Dertinger
joshroot
I can't say that I have heard many complaints like this over the years. And when something is wrong, we usually hear about it pretty quickly. In situations where I don't hear about it from numerous sources, the issue usually ends up being on the user's side of things. In this instance, I can only come up with a couple reasons why this might be: 1. You rated the images and simply forgot that you had. 2. Someone has been logging into your account and rating images after stealing your password. I have no idea why this would be, but nothing around here surprises me any more. You might want to change your password to make sure this isn't the case. 3. There ratings were given by others using your account because you used a computer that is used by others (family members, friends, strangers at a publicly accessed computer) and have not been logging out properly or have your browser set to remember your password. Please keep in mind that I am not calling you a liar. It's just that overwhelmingly, if I do not hear multiple complaints about a problem, the likelihood is that the problem is on the user's end and not ours.
