tbs
Is there a difference between KC (keystone correction) lenses and PC (perspective correction) lenses in projection? I've seen, for example, a Navitar 50mm PC lens and a Navitar 50mm KC lens. Same thing? Just wondering. Thanks
g._armour_van_horn
I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, just from different perspectives. "Keystone correction" would be an AV term, "perspective correction" a photographic term. In either case, you're dealing with a lens with a larger-than-normal circle of coverage and a single-direction axial shift. As I continue to collect Kodak-style projector lenses I'm sure I'll add one or two of these, but I haven't so far. It seems like a rather silly thing to do when jacking up the projector is so inexpensive, but it would be the only way to precisely overlay images from multiple projectors if you needed that.
