brodeub
The Ricoh GRD II is out and first pics are now appearing on FLIKR. Some comparison shots here give a sense of the jpg noise levels at various iso settings: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hirosan/sets/72157603265024185/
jeffrey_prokopowicz
It looks like noise is a couple stops better than the GRD. I'm waiting on a GRD2 from Adorama. Next week they say. Lots of users liked the noise of the original GRD, but the GRD2 is preferable because you could always shoot at 1600 and use a faster shutter speed, plus capture decent low-noise shots in low light. jeffrey_prokopowicz
Here's a good site for the Ricoh users/ fans: http://ricohforum.com/phpbb/index.php?sid=9f0faf4a9f4da24413e040db695f6700 What's cool is that the moderator has just received his GRD2, and he has started testing and posting his results.
