stalinrameshphotographer Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Camera 40D OS : Windows XP 64Bit Software came along with the CD all programs installed. Try to Remote Capture on my new canon40D on Windows XP 64Bit get message in Camera (bUSY). Tried using new USB Cable no use getting same error (bUSY). Uninstall all the canon programs and Lost my orignal CD. Later download EOS Utility updater from canon website...not able to install... Tried Capture one Demo version. stalinrameshphotographer Posted November 7, 2007 Author Share Posted November 7, 2007 Sometimes my Shutter button not working while shooting...Need to remove my battery and reinstall it 2 or 3 times later it work....I even tried clearing my camera custom setting. hjoseph7 Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 Wait a minute before you panic. Was the camera on when you were trying to download ? Depending on the amount of pictures you have it might take time for the Utility to show the thumbnails on the screen. Did you hit that little blue button on the back of the camera ? sometimes that works. Are you sure all your cables were connected properly. Are you sure there is nothing wrong with the Port on your computer ? Otherwise call Canon and see if they can send you a new one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I get the error below message when I try to install. I'm using windows XP 64Bit. "You cannot install EOS Utility on this computer. Verify whether the required environment for use has been satisfied. stalinrameshphotographer Posted November 8, 2007 Author Share Posted November 8, 2007 I got the CD and Installed the EOS Utility but now the problem is when camera connect to PC via USB and EOS Utility start get now the error message is "Failed to communicate with camera. Remote Capture utility is not installing from EOS Digital Solution Disk in XP 64Bit. I can able to install only DPP, Zoombrowser, Photostitch, WF1-E1/E2/E3 Utlitys. stalinrameshphotographer Posted November 8, 2007 Author Share Posted November 8, 2007 CANON DIGITAL SOLUTION DISK Software/EOSUTILITY/COMMAN.CAB Extract EOS UTILITY.exe from the COMMAN.CAB files. Manually Double Click it now it work. Capture 3.7.7 doesn't not support Canon 40D. Waiting for Capture 4.0 to realize.
