shots worth sharing
I feel a need to update my bio but dread a repeat of the frustration of not being able to break the text up into paragraphs. I may be a photographic hack but I REALLY care about writing (especially when "it's all about me"!) Do I have to put in HTML tags or some junk? Michael R Freeman
"Do I have to put in HTML tags or some junk?" AFAIK, I'm afraid so. However, all you need is a <p> (or a <br><br>) between each paragraph. No big deal.
shots worth sharing
I should be able to handle that. Thanks, Michael!
beeman458
Try double returns. Example below. First example used only one return. Second, of course, used double returns. 1 2 3 4 1 2 3
j.w.
An HTML illiteratti here. Does anyone know of a way to indent paragraphs, using code? So that the resulting text looks like, well, formally paragraphed text, rather than double spaced with no indents. It's just soooooooo hard to do a google search, you know. And I promise to not get too carried away with my new-found formatting skills here.:)
j.w.
Clarification: I'm referring to 1st line indent.
bob_gentile
<p> Is this what you want? If so, you can just insert spaces anywhere. Type <em> </em> and you'll get one space. Type <em> </em> and you'll get three spaces. With this technique, you can put as many spaces as you like at the beginning of each paragraph. I'm not aware of any simple way to format a forum entry so <em>every</em> paragraph has an indent. In other words, you'll have to do this for each paragraph. </p> <p> Unless someone else knows a simpler way.</p>
bob_gentile
<p> Forgot to mention that a <em><p></em> will put a blank line between the paragraphs. A <em><br></em> will start the next line immediately below the preceding one.<br> Like this. A <em><br></em> has no blank line. Hope this helps.</p> <p> Here, I used a <p> and it inserted a blank line.</p>
