tom_halfhill
For some reason the Argus C3 is becoming a favorite of fashionistas. Several months ago I posted a photo in this forum of an Argus C3 hanging on a mannequin in a clothing-store window. Now I've found a poster in a Bebe window of a fashion babe using an Argus C3. What's up with that? (She is probably wondering, "Where the heck is the LCD?")<div></div>
Andy Collins
She appears to be wondering, "How the hell do you focus this thing?" It's cool to see classics popping up more and more.
Charles_Webster
Nice to see an old "brick" out and about. People have stopped me on the street while shooting w/ the C3 saying "Is that an old Leica?" It just looks stylishly old. Thanks for sharing this <Chas>
john_shriver
I think she's wondering "why can't I see anything". She needs to move her eye behind the viewfinder window on the back!
waite_watson
The sad part is that the 'photographer' who took the picture has no idea how to use a C3 either.
luis triguez
Charles, (People have stopped me on the street while shooting w/ the C3 saying "Is that an old Leica?) I wonder if that people really now how a Leica looks like?
tony_lockerbie
She seems to be struggling with the finger assisted auto-focus, and those things take an age to download to the memory card! Next time I'm out with an old cluncker I'll just tell them it's retro chic. Tony
doug grosjean
I'm guessing the C3 popped up because you can buy them incredibly cheap, but they look old & retro & expensive. Yes, I have one. I like it, and it actually does take nice shots. I paid too much for mine, like $10-15 at a garage sale, with fungus. But the unit is so simple that I took the lens apart, cleaned it, re-assembled, and all is well. Wild that an owner can even do that..!
jeff bishop
Here in Philadelphia, there's also a large poster (3x4 feet I'm guessing) at a bus stop using the C3 to help advertise current fashion. This too is for Bebe.
ken_jeanette1
She probably drove up in a Ford Model T, and snacks on Classic Coke in the hourglass bottles. Makes me want to get a C3 again
rustys pics
The Movie "Sky Captain and the World of TOmorrow" featured an Argus C3 very prominently. Too bad the film wasn't more of a hit as I loved the Deco Moderne sets.
