jacki Posted February 14, 2008 Share Posted February 14, 2008 Ok so I was searching on the internet for an online school. I have taken onlineclasses before and have done well with them. I am unable to actually attendclasses for numerous reasons....for one I am a stay at home mom who is pregnantand I have 2 boys!! Anyways I came across this school and they sent meinformation in the mail...the program seems convienent but I just want to makesure it's legit! brucecahn Posted February 14, 2008 Share Posted February 14, 2008 Search it on this site. There was a lengthy discussion about it a few months ago. I attended around 1966 or so. It was a fraud. I am not sure what kind of fraud it went thru but if you?re looking for instruction and critiquing, it was great. I did the projects and sent them in, an instructor review them and send me an audio tape of the suggestions and comments. I never contacted them for additional info although it was offered to me, at the end of the course I received a "certificate of Professional Photography" It is up on my wall. ~ Hope this is helpful. brucecahn Posted February 14, 2008 Share Posted February 14, 2008 Hi Sarah: The fraud was that I attended 3-4 classes (the school was on 33rd St., as I recall, in Midtown Manhattan) and never even saw an instructor. Projects were assigned by putting up posters to tell the students what to do. I learned 2 minutes worth in those several weeks. You can learn more by asking questions on this site. I don't know about undergrad, but they offer an MA in Digital Photography that is 100% online. Some people might disagree, but I think generally the school is well regarded. Not cheap, though.
