valo_soul
On my 40D, I can turn off the incremental ISO settings and just have the base ISO frequencies enabled. I prefer this because I always use ISO 100, 200, 400, etc... and prefer to avoid the in-betweens. Is this not possible on the 5D? I can't find a way to disable them. bobatkins
The spec sheet on the 5D says"ISO 100-1600 in 1/3 stop increments". It doesn't say "1/3 or 1 stop" increments. So while it seems like it would make sense to have the ability to change ISO only in full stop steps, perhaps you can't! I guess they had to save something for the 5D MkII
m_barbu1
I don't own a 5D, but in looking here, it would appear not.
alexander_illich
I DO own a 5d, unfortunately it's in another city right now as I'm off visiting the folks, but I do believe yuo can change that in your custom functions section, but I may be mistaken. m_barbu1
Alexander, take a look at the link I posted. It shows screenshots of the custom functions.
alexander_illich
Well then, the things I dont know about my camera, maybe this is a sign that I should retire from film and use my digital more... or not.
valo_soul
Hmmm... interesting. I guess it's not possible. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
colinsouthern
You just have to get used to counting 3 clicks instead of one when adjusting the ISO.
bernardwest
It's actually quite easy to do after a while. Your finger just gets used to how far it has to roll across the dial.
