tonysvision
I'm trying to open some jpeg files via Adobe Camera Raw into CS3 from a DVD. My Camera Raw 4.2 preferences are set to save the raw conversion settings to its database, located on my C drive. Yet I get the message, "Unable to save the settings. Access is denied", after making an adjustment in Camera Raw and clicking on "Open Image". And there's bunches of room on the C: It's as if it is still trying to save the settings in a sidecar .xmp file on the DVD. After making the preference setting I've closed everything and re-booted - still the same issue - I'm stumped.
ronald_moravec1
I would eject the DVD bofore I saved the image. If that works, put it back in and copy all the images you wish to work on and then eject it. CS3 has some bugs in it.
KenPapai
Just do the trivial workaround suggested. I wouldn't call it a bug either since the Raw on CD medium is R/O. (CS3 likely has more than 1,000 recorded bugs extant.)
