keith_lubow
Hello, A while back, I read the data sheet on Ilford's b/w reversal process, and now I seem to have lost the paperwork for it. There's development, bleach, bleach-clearing agent, wash, reexposure, then a normal b/w process. My question is: What are the bleaching times, and is it regular potassium ferricyanide bleach, and also, what is the name of the bleach-clearing chemical and where can I get it? Also, they may have suggested a certain developer for one of the steps, and I don't remember. Probably a harsh (possibly paper?) developer for the first development to ensure decent contrast. Thanks, Keith
bobmichaels
Google is your friend. I believe the Ilford data sheet for reversal processing answers all your questions. It's on the Ilford website. http://www.ilfordphoto.com/Webfiles/20061291034093.pdf
keith_lubow
Thanks, Bob. Any idea of a good source for the potassium permanganate, sulphuric acid, and sodium or potassium metabisulphate? Thanks, Keith
ben_hutcherson
Photographer's Formulary will have everything you need. Keep in mind, however, that you'll need to fill out a DEA form and supply the exact mix and intended use for everything you're ordering. Potassium permanganate and sulfuric acid are both used in the production of meth.
keith_lubow
Ben, Thanks, I found exactly what I need, and the DEA form should not be a problem, except I need to renew my ID. I can't believe people purposefully put that crap into their bodies. Keith
