dave_lewis
Best Buy is only selling the kit that comes with the lens.
timeless
Does anyone know why Best Buy seems to be the only local retailer carrying the 40D already? Any word on Circuit City's Availability?
w_t1
The best camera store in Seattle to buy from is B&H. I prefer to not buy camera equipment at a store that also sells fridges. Tom in Seattle

w_t1
"Why buy all the way across the country when help is in town if there is a problem" Because time is money, and I don't care to drive 1.5 hours round trip (IF traffic is good)to Kenmore Camera. Plus, the money saved at B&H, as well as taxes not paid to the governess more than make up for the anxiety of "if there is a problem." I've been ordering from B&H since '82 or so, and have only had to send one thing back, and it wasn't photography-related. Same with Glazer's, which is within walking distance of my office, I did a quick comparison, Glazer's doesn't list the 40d yet, but their price for 30d is $1269 for the body, B&H is just under $1000. Plus at B&H website I don't have to deal with any Glazer's attitude.
