tisbone
hi. I just got a d200, and planning to get a 17-50/2.8 tamron. I know the older tamrons might have some software incompatibilities, but am curious if anyone has had any problems with this new model. post your opinion here whether you have good or bad experience with this combo. thanks! bill_keane2
I just shot another 200+ shot over the last few weeks with my D200/Tamron 17-50. It's my most used lens. Very sharp and compatible.
ned1
When I'm working (with my D200) the Tamron is my backup lens. When I'm traveling it's my primary lens. Nice and light and in a pinch I've shot entire weddings with it without complaint.
brent andersen
My copy of the Tamron back focused. I sent it back.
kaiyen
Mine is razor sharp, no focus problems. My only wish is that it didn't extend when zooming, but it's not like it's suddenly 9x the length or anything. Shot my first wedding with it last weekend, 2nd will be this saturday. Love it. If the Nikon 17-55 was $800, I would have been torn, but I can buy 3 of these Tamrons for the price of the Nikkor. allan
