RSS feeds for newly uploaded photos?

I was browsing a friend's gallery on flickr, and discovered that one can

subscribe to newly-uploaded photos on that site for a specific member via an RSS

feed. I have no interest in switching from photo.net to flickr (I love you guys

too much!) but it's a feature that I think would be useful for myself and quite

a few others.

I agree... and also the ability to search images by camera and lens. This, I believe, WAS a feature of photo.net back 6-7 years ago, but it no longer.

Both are interesting ideas. The RSS thing should be easy enough. Searching via camera or lens is more complicated because it relies on the photographer entering in the information when uploading.

I realize that not many these days add details (lens, camera, exposure). But maybe if you added the feature to search on these details, it would encourage more people to do so. And further, if you made it part of the upload process (to ask this info) it would encourage more. I distinctly remember that back in 2000 or so, there was a image search by details.

I would like to see a category "New Images" or something similar where we could search for images uploaded within x hours. Perhaps a separate search page where we could specify category and then duration to search (1 hour, 4 hours, 8, etc) would work.
