hugh_hill
Dear Ad, Today, noticed that my subscription was soon to expire so decided to pay rather than see my account close, I went through all the relevant procedures and paid through PayPal only to be told by P.N that the payment was unsuccessful? See below- "PayPal Express Checkout UnavailablePayPal Express Checkout has become unavailable. Even though you authorized the charge against your account earlier, the transaction has not completed. Your PayPal account has not been charged, but your purchase in not completed. If you backup with your browser, and click the button again, the problem at PayPal may have cleared up. If it does not, then you should try again later. If the problem persists, please let us know via the Site Feedback Forum, or the Contact Us page." I opened another browser window and checked my pay pal and sure enough PayPal had in fact paid the money ($25) my question is this, why did this happen and what would have happened if I did not check and did what PayPal advised and went back and repeated the process would they have been then paid twice? This does not look good I urge you to look into before others start paying double if not more! H.H
jsc
Hi, Hugh. I checked our logs and what happened was, it looks like you made a checkout attempt (which succeeded), and then a second try with the same info, perhaps because you hit the checkout button twice, or reloaded the browser, or some other circumstance. When PayPal gets two transactions with the same "token", it doesn't like it and the second one will fail, saying "we've already done this". That was the source of the error you saw. In fact, you are safe from double payment unless you go through the entire checkout process again.
hugh_hill
Hi Jin, Thank you you for taking the time to reply and your explanation I appreciate both. I firmly believe though that I only pressed the payment button once all the same I will take it that it was a human error on my part. Thank you.
