gatorgums
There is a Super Baldinette, with pop-out lens barrel in chrome, at the antiquestore for about $40.00.It seems fine except once in a while the film advance lever gets hung up, but by tapping it forward a bit it becomes free and snaps back.I noticed it has a Schneider-Kreuznach lens.Worth getting?Any comments would be helpful. Thanks.
steve_bellayr
McKeown's lists the camera on page 83 at $80-4120 but that is for excellent condition. Best to compare with recent sales on ebay or other stores. Maybe someone else could answer whether or not you could make that repair on your own. scott_cogburn1
I have a Baldinette (Radionar lens) and a Baldessa (Xenar lens). I think the Baldinette and Super Baldinette are folding cameras with bellows. AFAIK, the Baldinette has a knob wind/advance, and not a lever. Are you sure it's not a Baldina? They had levers and a lens that collasped straight back into the body a few millimeters. The Baldinettes are so simple, there's not much that could go wrong that could not be easily fixed. The Baldinas and Baldessa are more complex, especially the Baldessa. some links I found: http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Balda (click on the hyperlinks) http://mgroleau.com/photo/allemagne/balda/balda.html
