david_byrne
I found this really neat new program for creating Flash Photo Albums, its freeand really easy to use.. see link below. http://www.stegmann.dk/mikkel/porta/
buckry
I prefer the web galleries that PS makes. This has some problems, the lightbox view is pretty stupid in one long row, and it seemed like each time I clicked the album view link it did something different. buckry
You know what, I change my mind. The normal HTML pages it creates is odd, but the flash simple viewer is pretty slick. I really really like that, PS can't do anything near as cool as that.
ashley_felkel
The page actually looked great on my FireFox browser. One thing I did notice is that it only displays horizontal pictures in the demo. How do you think it handles horiz and vert images together?
buckry
I made a gallery of my own pictures with it, it handles them both just fine, it even flips portrait shots automatically based on EXIF data, nothing wrong with that.
geoffs1
Nice program! Thanks for pointing it out. I threw together some shots I'm working on into a gallery in almost no time! I even let Porta downsample the high-resolution "for printing" files down to web-size and they look great: http://moving-target-photos.com/2006TotL/ (I know they're not wedding photos, but...) kaiyen
So this is just a front-end for flash-based galleries? Intriguing. Simpleviewer isn't exactly difficult to use in the first place, but whatever works :-) allan
