rafael_macia
Francois this is my scanner experience; The Nikon 5000 was not anywhere as good as the Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400II. Pay through the nose but somewhere find a Minolta. Regarding the Imacon; I have had about 1500 4x5 scans done with an Imacon 845, and they are fine scans BUT the Imacon is not really for small format. You will pay a lot more for an Imacon for no good reason. M8? Hold off ... too many problems. Software issues. Focus problems. Indexing of lenses not 100%. IMHO, the Leica M8 came out too soon. Allen Herbert
what the fella in the pub and the two boats ? Actually, one was from a D200. I did mention it when i posted the photo. I can't remember, among the over posts, which one was M8 photo which a friend let me have a go with. Perhaps the M8 and the LX1 share the same software, hence, similar looking shots. Although the LX1 Leica lens has been designed, and corrected, for digi photos. I do find these,my cam is better than yours...so there, threads very amusing. Allen Herbert
You have just got to love the grainy grit of film ,particulary for shots like this, they almost come alive.<div></div>
