db1
I was given this lens about a year ago. It is big and it has no aperture bladesin it. I guess this means that you can only shoot at 2.8. I've used it and kinda like it but was wondering if anyone else has seenanything like this?
robert_marvin
I suspect this is a one of a kind adaptation. Does it cover 6 X 7? This is one of my favorite lenses in P-6 mount (complete with diaphragm) even though it's VERY HEAVY.
frank_skomial
The 180/2.8 Sonnar lens was used on the 6 x 6 square format (2 1/4 x 2 1/4 "), and it had the aperture blades. That lens could possibly not cover the 6 x 7 rectangular formal in the corners when wide open. I have not seen this lens without the aperture ring. What is the lens type, name? Was it an enlarger lens, or for a large format projector, or a copy machine ?
db1
The lens definitely covers 6x7 as I've used it already without any issues other that very shallow depth of field. Again, the lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena 180/2.8 Sonnar.
