jonk
I have a friend who is an expert fisherman. He always seems to know what the fish are "thinking" and when to set the hook. You can watch him mentally prepare to catch a fish. To me, intently working a photo subject is a similar experience.
rosmini sukardi
The world shuts out when I focus on taking a shot. this is one of the things i love abt photography. it lets me get away.
demaya
I have ADHD which I began getting medicated for as an adult. It helps me focus. It DESTROYS my creativity. It's the sheer speed of my mind & my imagination that allow me to be the resourceful artist I am. It isn't focusing, but an "insatiable voracity for that which pleases me" that drives my creation. The chemical focusing does make me sit for endless hours editing but the results are mediocre at best. Does everyday thought enter my mind, such as paying bills? Not enough. I have a great partner for that.
