dogbert
What would I want? ISO in the viewfinder, RAW accessible through a button rather than menu, some weather sealing, variable ISO program mode, and a better viewfinder. All should be cheap to do as it is all available on the lower priced Pentax K10D. I would also like in-body stablisation to use with my Canon primes, but guess I might have to wait for Canon to start losing market share before that happens. PuppyDigs
Bob writes, "I think the small viewfinder of APS-C DSLRs might make it difficult to impement on them." Probably not that hard. The EOS IXE had ECF and it was an APS film camera. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
icephoto
There is one specific reason why I'm looking forward to the 40D coming out... So the price on the 30D will drop and I can justify it to my spouse...
bobatkins
I suspect if they could (and did) put ECF on a 40D level model, it wouldn't be an option. It wasn't on the EOS-3.
jay a. frew
EOS 3 ECF may not have been an option at time of purchase...but...as mentioned (somewhere) above, you could always turn it off. I suppose if Canon produced a digital SLR body with ECF and a decent viewfinder, it would be way-out of my price range. I could not afford the EOS 3 when it was new either (nearly 1800.00 in Canada). Reality Bites. Cheers! Jay
