Sony DSC-P200 Falsh Problem

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine has an ultra compact (Sony DSC-P200) and has a problem with its

built-in flash. When he tries to take a photo, the flash is not synchronized

with the moment of capturing the photo. So, he got a dark final photo. Is it a

setting's fault or a malfunction in the camera itself and how can he fix the

problem of synchronization to get a good photo?

Thank you so much for your expected help.

Eyad, your description of the problem would appear to be a camera settings issue; it's highly improbable to be faulty hardware although possible.

Try taking a picture of a subject at a short distance (no more than 6') in a relatively dark room, flash on, camera set to full auto mode, then download to view and examine EXIF data to make sure the flash indeed fired, both visually and recorded in EXIF. It would be helpful if you can post a sample picture (while preserving the EXIF data) if the problem persists.
