flaviosganzerla
I have searched all the site for more information about what kind ofcalibration device to use for my screen, because I want to buy one. So it lookslike the best alternative is Pantone Eye-One Display 2. In this price range, isthis the best choice really? I don't mind spending a little more if there arebetter things out there. Another question, is 17th Street Photo a good place to buy? I searchedPriceGrabber and it looked the best option for me - I will buy withinternational credit card, and don't know any Photography store in US withexception to Adorama and B&H. The shipment will be to a friend's house in NewJersey, than he will bring to me when he comes to our country. I have no experience with these tools, so any comment is very welcome. And if achoice is somewhat dependent on wich style of Photography one has, I need to sayI still use film (more inclined to B&W), scan and adjust them, so acuracy is amust. There are pictures on Flickr or here on Photo.net, just take a look at myprofile. Thanks!
ellis_vener_photography
I don't know about 17th Street photo -I've never heard of them. i'd go with B&H . The next step up from the X-Rite Eye One Display 2 is the X-Rite Photospectrometer at over $700.00 If you can find a Monaco OPTIXxr that would be a good buy too. lukefoto
I've had the Eye One Display 2 for almost two months now, and it works very simply on my PC laptop and LCD desktop monitors. It was very easy to use right out of the box. You put the calibration sensor on the monitor and launch the software; it automaticaly finds the location of the sensor and takes about 4-5 minutes to calibrate. For the price, it was a very good deal.
