right to make a stereo pair.  And when viewed that way, small differences

stick out in a big way.

 

In your case, the spot really sticks out viewed as a stereo pair.

The method is often used in comparison of differences in printed editions (Shakespeare 1st folio Hinman collator) and in astronomy to see movement of a object.
