ronald_moravec1
Will the 28 and 35 Leica perspective control lens work on a Conon 5D. I`m questioning because corner illumination may be impared because the lens is far off center line perpendicular of the chip if it is shifted. This will probably be the same problem experienced by users of the M8 and very wide lenses.
vivek iyer
"This will probably be the same problem experienced by users of the M8 and very wide lenses." Never heard of such a problem any M8 users so far! Are you inventing this or the microlenses used on the Kodak chip are that useless?!
ellis_vener_photography
I've used the 24mm and 90mm Tilt/Shift Canon lenses on 1Ds and 1Ds mark 2 bodies without this problem.
john_shriver
A tilt-shift wide-angle lens would probably be even more retrofocus than an ordinary SLR wide-angle lens. So the rear nodal point would be even further from the sensor, so the additional angle caused by the shift should be minimal.
x-ray
I second what Ellis said. I use my 24 and 90 TSE on my 1DsII bodies regularly with no problem.
ronald_moravec1
No it is not a troll. I am thinking of buying a 5D and using the Leica perspective control R lenses on it. It will offset the price differential of the 5 and 30D. I need t know if will will work.
andrew robertson
Why not the Canon TS-E lenses, which are perfect. You even get advanced features such as auto aperture. Plus they tilt, which I find I use much more than shift anyway.
fourfa
for an example of light fall-off with the 24mm Canon TS-E, have a look about 2/3rds down on the following page: http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/tilt_and_shift_ts-e.html Not much at all, and only at the extremes of the shift range. ronald_moravec1
Why not? I already own the Leica ones. Since neithere are auto diaphragm, I would gain only the tilt feature.
