ldavidson
Hello, I was recently asked if I would like to sell some photos to a small greeting card company. I was offered $25. per image. I don't know if this is reasonable or not. What do you think? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Best regards, Linda
randy_santos
It's your call what is reasonable but a typical rate for an image, used on the front of a greeting card with a run of up to 1k could range from $300 - $700 depending on certain factors. Maybe this is a very small company with a very small run but $25 seems like an insult. If you do it for whatever price specify quantity of print run and use for greeting card only, 1 print run only. ldavidson
Hi Randy, Thanks for answering so quickly. I appreciate it. This was very helpful. Cheers, Linda
primeimages
People purchase greeting cards mostly because of the image on the front cover and not so much the text inside. So if they retail each card for say $2.00 each and do a 1,000 run, I would think 20% to 25% or 40-50 cents per card would be equitable to both parties.
