jun_ea
Does any have experience using the Toshiba Gigabeat MES60VK to store large quantities of pictures? I want to know if it's possible to upload RAW files directly from the Canon 10D to this portable media? Thanks.
Charles_Webster
Based on the specs I found on c/net, I would guess that it cannot do either, display RAW files nor d/l files directly from your camera. The specs say the only supported picture file format is JPEG, and the only interface is USB. Since these devices (USB portable storage/display) do not function as USB masters, you need a computer to d/l files into it. A google search would have found you the same info. Next time, do it yourself. <Chas>
jun_ea
Charles, I appreciate you doing a the Google search. I've been raking the internet for information. I've even called Canon and Toshiba. What I learned is that it does allow the direct of files, including RAW, direct from camera to the PVD. However, it only list the Digital Rebel among Canon's SLR. Furthermore, you can't preview the RAW files, but I'm not concerned about that. I just want to store it. The question is can the 10D function compatibly with it as well. I think it can because the 10D and DRebel are similar, but I'm not certain. I've done quite a bit of searching before posting the question here.
