Photoshop CS3 Beta

Hey, anybody got their copy of Photoshop CS3 beta yet? I havent been able to log

on to Adobe's site sence I saw it.

What? Since when did Adobe start issuing downloads of Beta versions of Photoshop to the general public? I could be mistaken, but this clearly sounds wrong to me - and I certainly do not understand the second post either.

PsCs3 has nbeen in limited beta testing with a number of people for awhile now. My guess is

that Adobe has been really pleased about what they have learned from users during the very

public beta of Lightroom.

i don't have a legal version of cs2. is there a way to get the cs3 beta. i heard maybe a 2 day download. any word?

Adobe's stated rationale for the unprecedented PS beta is support for Mac users on Intel

machines. Though not scheduled for final release until Spring2007, the beta is all but

locked up feature-wise. Unlike Lightroom, Adobe is not looking for feature requests. They

do get customer goodwill, product buzz, and of course a much wider testing platform with

the public beta.

being pushed out is for the Macintosh Intel boxes, almost 50% of Photooshop sales are Mac

versions. There is your cash cow.

This is good news, CS3 is on the horizon! All year there's been speculation this forum, with the best guesses pegging April 2007 as the CS3 release date.

 

So, does that make it two years between CS2 and CS3? Pretty close.

The CS3 release was pushed forward due to Apple changing to Intel processors in all their Macs.

You need a PS CS2 serial number to unlock CS3: "To get the serial number that will unlock the Photoshop CS3 beta features you will first need to enter your serial number from your copy of Photoshop CS2."
