mksnowhite
Any recommendations? I need a bracket that will fit the D200 with the battery grip on, sc-29 synch cord and sb800. Need it to go both horizontal and vertical. I tried the strobo flip frame but it is not a very stable frame. thanks~~
ellis_vener_photography
Having used the Strobo Flip-Frame with cameras ranging from the Canon 1Ds Mk.2 to the Nikon D2X, D1X, F5 , N90s, and F4 I have to disagree with your comments. The camera and the Speedlights tighten down just fine.
mitchfalk
Get the Pro - RL, and the Nikon cord with the flash sensor on one end and a hot shoe on the other to mount on the frame.
mksnowhite
Mitch...who makes the Pro-RL...stroboframe? Ellis that's great it works for you. I know a Canon shooter that has had the same prob with it. Maybe we just got bad ones? Or maybe you just got a good one ;)
craig_gillette
When you say unstable, what do you mean? They recommend an anti-rotation plate or their cork strip on at least one model I've looked at and if that's not there, are you getting slipping? I'd agree that they seem rather light in construction but they are quite functional at their price point. I like the Camera Flip but am pretty sure it won't take the added battery grip so haven't gone for one yet.
phillip_morris1
Go to www.custombracket.com and look at there CB Junior bracket. I have the exact setup that you have and it works great. Phil
jeffrey moore
Melanie, one other option you may want to check out is Really Right Stuff's L-bracket in combo with their circular flash bracket. I use this with my D200 and like it pretty good. This combo will also let you go either horizontal or vertical.
oracle0017
I also use Really Right Stuff's L-bracket both on my D-70 and D-200 and like the build quality and light weight.
